Turkey's Arkas Line has expanded its investment in container vessels, with an additional order placed for two 4,300 TEU containerships from China’s Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard. This new order brings the total number of similar vessels being constructed for Arkas at the southern Chinese shipyard to six. The latest pair of ships is scheduled for delivery in 2027, continuing Arkas Line's strategic fleet expansion.

These newly ordered vessels will be conventionally powered, though no details regarding the cost of the order have been disclosed. Arkas Line, a prominent operator in the Mediterranean shipping market, has been steadily increasing its fleet size to meet the growing demand for containerized cargo transport across key trade routes.

The Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard, known for its expertise in building mid-sized container ships, has become a key partner for Arkas Line in its fleet renewal and expansion plans.
