Höegh Autoliners Orders Six More Aurora Class Vessels

This gives Höegh Autoliners flexibility to expand its Aurora fleet to as many as 26 vessels, counting the twelve already delivered or on order. Each Aurora class vessel carries DNV's ammonia- and methanol-ready notation, with main engines supplied by Everllence and bridge systems from Kongsberg Maritime. The ships can carry up to 9,100 cars and cut carbon emissions by up to 58% compared with conventional pure car and truck carriers. CEO Andreas Enger said the Aurora newbuilds have shown strong earnings potential, carbon performance, cargo flexibility and future conversion capability.
