Wagenborg and Carisbrooke Shipping Ltd have formed a strategic partnership to expand the Wagenborg fleet with up to ten new 7,400 DWT ice-class 1A vessels. These vessels are intended to enhance operations in the Baltic region by providing increased reliability, flexibility, and transport capacity in challenging conditions. The newbuildings will gradually replace older ships, contributing to a younger and more efficient fleet. Under the agreement, Carisbrooke will manage technical and crewing operations, while Wagenborg will handle commercial management and chartering. This investment aligns with Wagenborg's long-term strategy focused on operational efficiency and supporting industrial supply chains across Europe.
