ECKSHIP GmbH & Co. KG has announced the construction of up to six new heavy-lift vessels, each with a deadweight of 15,200 DWT. These vessels will feature a forward-located bridge and two 350 mt cranes that can combine for a total lifting capacity of 700 mt. They offer a bale capacity of 28,000 cbm and an exceptionally long hatch measuring 114.10 m, suitable for oversized and heavy project cargo. The unobstructed deck area of 139.0 m by 23.2 m allows flexible cargo stowage, with adjustable tween decks and bulkhead-capable panels. Designed for versatility, the vessels can sail in open-top configuration and are lakes-fitted to extend operational range. Deliveries are scheduled from the second quarter of 2028 through the end of 2029, providing modern, reliable tonnage for project and heavy cargo transport.
