China has recorded its largest single procurement of marine green methanol to date with a 6,000-tonne agreement signed by Chimbusco and Shenergy Co., Ltd. This deal supports the expansion of Shanghai's green fuel bunkering infrastructure, enhancing one of Asia's key maritime hubs. The announcement coincides with ongoing investments in bunkering infrastructure, including Chimbusco's new dedicated methanol bunkering vessel and expanded methanol bunkering operations in major ports such as Shanghai, Dalian, Ningbo-Zhoushan, Qingdao, and Shenzhen. This procurement reflects the accelerating development of China's marine methanol market, with fuel supply, bunkering infrastructure, and commercial activities advancing simultaneously.
