CSSC Group was formed in 1999 and is consistently ranked in the world’s top 500 enterprises. With its headquarters in Beijing, CSSC Group is one of the two largest shipbuilding groups in China, focusing on ocean equipment and facilities, larger steel structures and non-ship business. Its shipbuilding business includes ship design, manufacture and trade of ships, covering ship types such as bulk carriers, crude tankers, containerships, multipurpose vessels, Ro-Ro ships, oil product and chemical tankers and car carriers, plus sophisticated high- tech ships and facility capabilities. CSSC is also involved in repairing and ship conversions, as well as various types of offshore rigs and platforms, FPSOs, research vessels and naval. The company works with all the major classification societies including Lloyd's Register. CSSC Group has more than 40 subsidiaries including larger shipyards, design institutes and one trading house, China Shipbuilding Trading Company (CSTC)
