Eastern Pacific Shipping Orders Up to 11 New LNG-Fueled Containerships

an earlier order of eight ships placed earlier this year. These newly ordered ships are valued at over $200 million each and are designed to run on LNG dual-fuel technology. Delivery of the vessels is anticipated between 2027 and 2028. In addition to the larger vessels, EPS is also said to have secured contracts for seven 8,400 teu newbuilds at the same shipyard. The order includes four confirmed ships, priced at approximately $130 million each, with three additional options. These smaller containerships are expected to have similar delivery schedules, further diversifying and modernizing EPS’s expanding fleet with advanced, environmentally friendly vessels.
