GTT to Design Tanks for Four ADNOC LNG Carriers

developed by GTT. The four LNG carriers are scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2029. The order follows an announcement in July 2026, when ADNOC L&S confirmed it had signed a deal for four 175,000 m³ LNG carriers during a visit by Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNOC, to CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard. Separately, on 25 Aug 2026, ADNOC L&S exercised an option with Jiangnan Shipyard for two additional 175,000 m³ LNG carriers, also due for delivery in 2029. Those two vessels are expected to be deployed on long-term charter operations. The orders add to a wave of LNG carrier newbuilding activity at Chinese yards this year, as ADNOC L&S continues to expand its LNG shipping capacity through Jiangnan Shipyard.
