On 14 Aug 2026, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding officially delivered the ATLANTIC ONYX, a 114,000 DWT Aframax product oil tanker, to Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS). This vessel represents the latest generation of Aframax tankers independently developed and designed by Shanghai Waigaoqiao. The ATLANTIC ONYX features advanced environmental and energy-efficient technologies, complying with IMO Tier III standards for nitrogen oxide emissions and meeting specified sulphur oxide emission requirements. These attributes contribute to its recognized strengths in environmental friendliness, safety, and economic performance. Eastern Pacific Shipping has widely acknowledged the vessel’s compliance and operational advantages. The delivery marks a significant milestone for Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding in advancing modern tanker design aligned with international environmental regulations.
