Italian shipping and marine fuels company Fratelli Cosulich Group has taken delivery of two new bunkering vessels, Anna Cosulich and Lucia Cosulich, built by Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding in China. These vessels are the first two in a series of four
IMO Type II chemical bunkering ships equipped with methanol-ready propulsion systems. Each vessel measures 114 metres in length overall, with a beam of 19 metres, a summer draught of 6.7 metres, and a deadweight of 7,999 tonnes. Slightly larger than the earlier methanol-powered Maya Cosulich, the newbuilds are designed to serve larger commercial ships in major ports as well as coastal and regional bunkering routes for smaller vessels. This addition enhances Fratelli Cosulich's capacity to provide advanced marine fuel services.
