Fratelli Cosulich Group has strengthened its commitment to sustainable shipping by placing an order for a new 7,999 dwt IMO2 chemical bunkering tanker. The vessel, set to be constructed at Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., will be equipped to transport fuel oil, biofuels up to B100, and methanol, underscoring the company’s focus on fleet modernization and environmental responsibility.The tanker, designed with methanol-ready capabilities, is scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2026. Once completed, it will bring the total number of methanol-ready barges in Fratelli Cosulich Group’s fleet to four, reflecting the company’s strategic emphasis on a multi-energy future.
