Veer, a pioneering maritime startup, has entered into a letter of intent (LOI) with Fosen Shipyard for the development, construction, sale, and purchase of two wind-powered and hydrogen-assisted containerships. These vessels are anticipated to be the first of their kind, representing the “world’s first” clean containerships capable of transoceanic voyages.

The innovative ship design, referred to as Design Nº1, has been designated by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) as achieving “absolute zero emissions.” This distinction highlights the vessel’s adherence to the highest environmental standards.
