Cochin Shipyard Ltd has completed its acquisition of a 23% equity stake in Conoship International Holding B.V., a Netherlands-based ship design firm. The company signed the deed for transfer of shares on 28 Oct 2026, finalizing all formalities related to the transaction. The completion follows the execution of a Share Purchase Agreement and a Shareholders' and Cooperation Agreement with Conoship's existing shareholders, initial details of which were disclosed to stock exchanges on 24 Sep 2026. Cochin Shipyard confirmed that with the signing of the deed, all procedural requirements for the acquisition have now been met. The transaction gives Cochin Shipyard a minority stake in Conoship, a Dutch firm specializing in ship design and engineering services. The disclosure was made to BSE Limited and The National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. in accordance with listing obligations, with the company treating the 23% stake acquisition and the share transfer deed signing as the two key completed milestones of the deal. Cochin Shipyard, one of India's largest public sector shipbuilders, did not disclose the financial value of the transaction. The acquisition reflects continued efforts by the company to broaden its international partnerships within the shipbuilding and marine engineering sector.
