HD Hyundai has delivered a 13,000 TEU methanol dual-fuel container ship to France's CMA CGM, marking the world's first container vessel built with a lashing-free cargo securing system, a design intended to reduce crew workload and improve safety during loading and unloading operations. According to TrustedDocks orderbook data, the vessel was ordered in January 2023 from HD Hyundai Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE) and has a deadweight of 96,800 tonnes, with delivery scheduled around 17 October 2026.
