Bernhard Schulte Offshore GmbH (BSO) has taken delivery of Windea Clarke, the fourth and final commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) in its latest newbuilding series. Named on 30 Jul 2026 at Ulstein Verft in Norway, the vessel will immediately begin its first seasonal charter supporting an offshore wind farm in
the UK North Sea. Windea Clarke completes BSO's four-vessel CSOV programme, expanding its offshore fleet to seven vessels. Designed by Ulstein, the vessel features the TWIN X-STERN design, hybrid battery propulsion, methanol-ready capability, and holds DNV’s SILENT-E notation for reduced underwater noise. It is equipped with single cabins, a motion-compensated gangway and crane, extensive storage, a height-adjustable boat landing system, and a helideck with an 8.6-tonne max take-off weight. The vessel is named in honor of electrical engineer Edith Clarke. This delivery marks a milestone in BSO and Ulstein’s cooperation and supports offshore wind and energy project growth worldwide.
