Jinhui Holdings Company Limited has signed contracts to acquire two bulk carriers, each with a deadweight of 64,100 metric tonnes, from Sumec Marine Co., Ltd. and its shipyard New Dayang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The contracts were finalized on 8 June 2026, with a total contract
price of US$68 million. The vessels are scheduled for delivery between 1 January and 30 June 2030. Each vessel will cost US$34 million and will be paid in five installments tied to construction milestones. The acquisition is part of Jinhui’s strategy to renew its fleet with modern, fuel-efficient vessels that comply with the latest environmental regulations. The vessels will be chartered out to generate recurring income. The transactions are subject to shareholder approval at a forthcoming general meeting, with a circular expected to be sent by 30 June 2026.
