A new combination purse seiner and pelagic trawler named 'Trønderbas' has been delivered to Norwegian seafood company Ivan Ulsund Rederi. The vessel, designed by Salt Ship Design, features a strengthened hull for North Atlantic conditions and a hybrid propulsion system. Its hull was constructed at Turkey's Norse Shipyard, with final outfitting completed at Norway's Westcon Yards. The hybrid system allows for reduced generator use and enables 'green unloading' by combining battery and shore power for onboard electrical needs.
