CMA CGM Takes Delivery of Two New Container Ships in Two Days

ship built in China, from Jiangnan Shipyard in Shanghai. The 15,000 TEU vessel is the first in a series of six sister ships and will operate on the BEX2 service connecting Asia, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean. The following day, CMA CGM VENDOME, a 24,000 TEU LNG dual-fuel ultra-large containership, was named and delivered by Hudong-Zhonghua, eight and a half months ahead of schedule. These consecutive deliveries underline CMA CGM’s focus on alternative fuels and energy efficiency as it moves toward its Net Zero Carbon target for 2050, while also strengthening partnerships with leading Chinese shipbuilders.
