CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited, in partnership with China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd., has recently signed a contract with Greek shipping company Venergy Maritime Limited for the construction of 2+2 SWAN1900TEU feeder containerships. This marks Venergy Maritime's first newbuilding order in China and its inaugural cooperation with a Chinese shipyard, highlighting growing trust in Huangpu Wenchong’s ship design and construction capabilities. Venergy Maritime, part of Greece’s V Group, is a major Mediterranean port operator and this order follows a similar deal with Latsco Shipping earlier this year. The SWAN1900TEU design, known for its green and intelligent features, continues to gain popularity globally. The new contract further cements Huangpu Wenchong’s leading position in the feeder containership market and underscores the strengthening ties between Greek shipping interests and Chinese shipbuilders.
