Hudong-Zhonghua Delivers CMA CGM VENDOME 8.5 Months Ahead of Schedule, Marking 100th Containership Milestone

vessel's advanced LNG fuel tank enables nearly 20,000 nautical miles of emission-reduced operation, making it one of the greenest ships of its type. This delivery marks Hudong-Zhonghua's 100th containership and the 14th LNG dual-fuel vessel built for CMA CGM, underscoring ongoing Sino-French collaboration in green shipping. The achievement was made possible by breakthroughs in steel welding, new lashing bridge structures, and digitalized construction technologies. With production booked through 2028, Hudong-Zhonghua remains a leader in high-end, environmentally friendly shipbuilding. The CMA CGM VENDOME now joins sister vessels CMA CGM Seine and CMA CGM Saint-Germain, furthering CMA CGM’s decarbonization efforts.
