In November, Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. announced the signing of multiple new shipbuilding contracts with prominent shipowners from Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, and other countries. The contracts cover four major vessel types, including 82,000 DWT bulk carriers, 211,000 DWT bulk carriers, 4,500 TEU container ships, and 319,000 DWT very large crude carriers (VLCCs). With a total of 19 new orders, the deal signals a growing demand for larger vessels and highlights the company's strong competitiveness in the global shipbuilding market. The newly signed orders are slated for delivery in 2028 and 2029.
