Østensjø Rederi has entered into a newbuild contract with GONDAN Shipbuilders for the construction of a next-generation offshore tug. The vessel, designed by Skipsteknisk as the ST 933 model, will be the largest and most powerful tug in Østensjø’s fleet. Scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2028, the newbuild aims to enhance the company’s offshore towage capabilities. CEO Kristian Helland Vea highlighted the vessel’s capacity and reliability, emphasizing its alignment with future offshore operational demands.
