**Atlantic Bulk Carriers Orders Four Ultramaxes** Greek owner Atlantic Bulk Carriers has placed an order for four ultramax bulk carriers with Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding in China on 18 Nov 2025. The contract, valued at approximately USD 135 million, covers four 63,600 dwt ultramax bulkers and follows the yard’s delivery of three similar newbuildings earlier this year, including the Desert Puma (built 2025). Atlantic Bulk Carriers, part of the Coumantaros family business, has steadily expanded its fleet at Nantong Xiangyu over two years, reinforcing the shipyard’s position in the ultramax segment. The order underscores Nantong Xiangyu’s standing as a leading builder of midsize bulk carriers and reflects Greek owners’ ongoing efforts to renew their fleets amid market uncertainties. Delivery dates for the newbuildings have yet to be confirmed.
