**Mawanship Signs 2900TEU Container Ship Order** On 19 Nov 2025 at Mawei Shipyard in Fuzhou, China, Mawanship signed a contract with Deways Marine for two firm plus two optional 2,900 TEU container ships.
Under the agreement, the four vessels will be constructed at Mawei Shipyard with a combined capacity of 11,600 TEU.
The ships will join Deways Marine’s existing feeder fleet and support its regional and short-sea liner services.
This latest deal continues a partnership launched in 2021 when Deways Marine, to date, ordered eight 1,100 TEU and six 2,900 TEU containerships from Mawanship.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Delivery schedules have not been disclosed.
