The world’s first electric vehicle (EV)-ready pure car and truck carrier (PCTC), the 'NOCC PACIFIC,' was officially named at CIMC Raffles’ Longkou base. Built to DNV’s new F(EV) notation ahead of upcoming IMO safety regulations, the 7,000-CEU vessel features LNG dual-fuel propulsion, ammonia-ready notation, and zero-emission port capability, setting a new standard for green automotive shipping. Norwegian Car Carriers AS (NOCC) CEO Olav Sollie highlighted the vessel’s energy efficiency and CIMC Raffles’ build quality. The ship will be managed by Wallem Ship Management, with Wallem’s Managing Director expressing pride in the ongoing partnership with NOCC. The event marks the 15th PCTC delivered by CIMC Raffles, underlining its growing role in global PCTC construction.
