MSC Magnifica Undergoes Refurbishment in Malta
On 31 Oct 2025, MSC Cruises began an extensive refurbishment of MSC Magnifica at Palumbo Malta Shipyard in Malta. This marks the first of two Musica Class vessels to enter the yard under the project.
The refit will add an MSC Yacht Club with 63 suites, two specialty restaurants—Butcher’s Cut and Kaito Sushi Bar—as well as enhancements to the MSC Aurea Spa and Technogym Fitness Center. Sister ship MSC Poesia is slated to enter dry dock in February 2026 for similar upgrades, including a 69-suite Yacht Club and All-Stars Sports Bar.
The work is scheduled for completion in December 2025 ahead of MSC Magnifica’s return on Northern Europe itineraries, with MSC Poesia due to rejoin the fleet in spring 2026.
