Pacific International Lines (PTE) Ltd (PIL) has officially added the 8,200 TEU LNG dual-fuel container vessel, Kota Odyssey, to its fleet. The vessel was named by Her Excellency Ms Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President of Ghana, who served as Lady Sponsor. The Kota Odyssey will serve as a critical link between Ghana, West Africa, and Asia, connecting ports from China and Singapore to Togo, Nigeria, and Côte d’Ivoire. The vessel exemplifies a commitment to sustainable shipping, with LNG power and PIL’s Ghana operations running entirely on renewable energy. In addition to boosting trade, PIL continues to invest in local talent, with over 100 Ghanaian seafarers currently onboard its ships.
