On September 12, 2025, Hengli Heavy Industry (Hengli Shipbuilding, Dalian) announced a significant contract with Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) for the construction of four 6,000 TEU container vessels, valued between USD 300 and

500 million. Deliveries are scheduled from late 2027 through 2028, with any disputes to be handled by the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA). This is EPS’s second large order with Hengli in 2025, following a July deal for up to four Suezmax LNG dual-fuel tankers. The consecutive contracts highlight EPS’s confidence in Hengli’s advanced shipbuilding capabilities and further solidify Dalian’s reputation as a global shipbuilding hub.
