On September 4, Chenxin Shipping Co., Ltd. announced a significant fleet expansion by signing a shipbuilding contract with Yangzhou Wanlong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The agreement includes 2+2 units of 1,900 TEU and 2+2 units of 4,350 TEU containerships. This strategic move aims to bolster Chenxin’s capacity and strengthen its presence in key global trade lanes. Chenxin, established in 2023, has quickly grown as a container carrier focusing on markets in the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Red Sea. The new vessels will support the company's ongoing network optimization and future expansion plans into North America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Yangzhou Wanlong Shipbuilding, located in Jiangsu, is recognized for its expertise in various ship types and its internationally accredited shipbuilding standards.
