Sentek Marine & Trading Pte. Ltd., a prominent player in the maritime industry, has placed an order for two LNG bunker vessels. This decision is a strategic move to enhance their fleet capabilities, particularly focusing on the demands for cleaner energy solutions within the shipping sector.
These vessels, categorized under tankers with a subtype of LNG bunker vessels, will be constructed by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co ., Ltd., a shipyard located in China. Known for its expertise in shipbuilding, the shipyard is expected to deliver these vessels between June 2027 and March 2028.
The vessels will feature dual-fuel LNG capabilities, signifying a step towards more sustainable maritime operations. This aligns with the growing trend in the industry to adopt cleaner fuel options, responding to international regulatory pressures and environmental concerns.
The order, reported by Banchero Costa, underscores the ongoing shift in global maritime logistics towards LNG as an alternative fuel. Sentek Marine & Trading Pte. Ltd. continues to expand its operations, now having made a total of 28 orders, reflecting its commitment to innovation and sustainability in shipping.
