Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) Ulsan, based in South Korea, has secured a significant order for two Very Large Ammonia Carriers (VLAC) from the Sahara Energy Group . This strategic move marks Sahara’s entry into the shipping order domain.
The vessels, offering a cumulative capacity of 93,000 cubic meters, are expected to be delivered between January and June 2028. Designed to run on dual-fuel LPG, these gas carriers reflect a growing trend toward more environmentally sustainable maritime solutions.
