FINCANTIERI-MUGGIANO SHIPYARD

In Italy the Naval Vessels business unit performs its design activities in Genoa, while the construction takes place at the two shipyards of Muggiano and Riva Trigoso, operating as an integrated shipyard, developing synergies and sharing best practices. The Riva Trigoso yard is focused on the construction of medium – large sized surface vessels, while Muggiano is dedicated to the construction of small sized specialized vessels, to the outfitting of surface vessels and to the construction of submarines and to after–sales services. Spanning about 320,000 sqm, 120,000 of which covered, the Integrated Shipyard offers a consolidated package of expertise, technology, dry docks, machinery and production processes.
