GTT announced in the fourth quarter of 2024 that it has secured an order from China Merchant Heavy Industry-Jiangsu, a prominent Chinese shipyard, for the design of LNG carrier tanks. The vessel, which will feature GTT’s advanced Mark III Flex containment technology, is planned to offer a substantial storage capacity of 180,000 cubic meters. This containment system, designed by GTT, is widely acknowledged for its ability to provide high safety standards and enhanced operational efficiency in LNG transportation.

Scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2027, this LNG carrier reflects ongoing international collaboration in energy transport innovation. GTT’s involvement in the project reinforces its strategic partnership with China Merchant Heavy Industry-Jiangsu and underscores the demand for cutting-edge LNG storage solutions to support global energy needs.
