Fujian Guohang Ocean Shipping, a Chinese bulk carrier owner and operator, is solidifying its expansion strategy by increasing its order for methanol-ready Kamsarmax newbuilds at Wuhu Shipyard. The company has exercised options for an additional four 89,000 dwt vessels, raising its total orders at the yard to eight.

This follows a prior agreement made late last year, where Fujian Guohang initially secured newbuilding slots for up to 10 vessels. The original arrangement included four firm orders, each costing approximately $36.5 million, with deliveries scheduled between 2025 and 2026, along with provisions for six optional units.
