Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has delivered the RS Atlantico, a 5,500 ceu LNG dual-fuel Pure Car and Truck Carrier, to European logistics group Suardiaz, marking the first newbuilding chartered between the two companies under their expanding automotive logistics partnership. The vessel was built at Xiamen shipyard in China and is the first ship in its series, as well as EPS's first mid-sized PCTC newbuilding from the Fujian Chuanzheng facility. Its LNG dual-fuel propulsion is intended to help meet emissions targets while supporting growing demand for automotive transport capacity across Europe. Thomas Preben Hansen, Commercial Director for Containers/PCTC at EPS, said the delivery reflects the deepening relationship between the two companies, built on mutual trust and aligned objectives. Marcos Duato, Director at Suardiaz Shipping Lines, described the RS Atlantico as a significant step in the company's fleet renewal strategy, noting that its LNG propulsion helps meet customer demands while advancing sustainability goals. The addition strengthens Suardiaz's automotive transport capabilities across its European network, as both companies continue to pursue further growth in the sector through their ongoing partnership.
