CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding, operating as Dalian Shipbuilding Tianjin, delivered the 115,000 DWT LR2 product tanker Elandra Hawk to Vitol Shipping Group on 21 Aug 2026, some 40 days ahead of the contractual schedule. The delivery was carried out in cooperation with CSSC Trading. The vessel measures 249.8 m in overall length, with a breadth of 44 m, a depth of 21.2 m and a structural draft of 15.25 m. It has a service
speed of 14.5 knots and an endurance of 22,000 nautical miles, and can carry approximately 830,000 barrels of finished oil products in a single voyage. Its design offers strong port adaptability, allowing it to call at most major oil-product ports worldwide in support of main-lane international energy-trade transportation. The tanker is fitted with a high-efficiency propeller and energy-saving devices intended to reduce fuel consumption, along with advanced desulphurization and denitrification systems designed to significantly cut emissions of sulphur oxides, nitrogen oxides and carbon. According to the builder, the ship's performance in environmental compliance, cargo capacity, speed and fuel efficiency meets internationally advanced standards. According to TrustedDocks orderbook data, the order for the vessel was placed in Jun 2021. The early delivery adds a new LR2 unit to Vitol Shipping Group's fleet, reinforcing its capacity for large-scale refined petroleum product transport on international trade routes.
