HaiSea Marine General Partner has contracted DAMEN SONG CAM SHIPYARD to build two new diesel hybrid tugs to support LNG carrier operations in British Columbia, Canada. These vessels will be 28 meters in length, 13 meters in width, and have a draught of 4 meters. Each tug is designed with azimuth stern drive (ASD) propulsion, a bollard pull of up to 70 tonnes, and will feature FiFi1-class firefighting systems and winter operation packages. The tugs will accommodate up to 10 crew members and store 89.2 cubic meters of diesel fuel. Delivery is scheduled between January and December 2027. This order complements HaiSea Marine’s existing fleet, which includes escort and electric tugs, enhancing towage services amid expanding LNG terminal activity in the region.
