SHM Group has launched Ocean Crewzer 8 (Y-410), a 29-metre high-speed passenger craft, at its Mumbai shipyard. The vessel is built entirely from aluminium, chosen for its lightweight properties and fuel efficiency, and is designed to meet India's waterway operational requirements. The ship was constructed entirely in-house, reflecting SHM Group's commitment to indigenous shipbuilding and the Aatmanirbhar spirit. The launch involved rigorous safety checks at every stage, with the final entry into the water executed using two 300-tonne cranes to ensure a controlled process. SHM Group's leadership emphasized the disciplined work and domestic capabilities demonstrated by the project. This launch is part of the company's ongoing shipbuilding program aimed at addressing India's growing maritime needs.
