Greek shipowner Dynacom Tankers has placed tanker newbuilding orders valued at $3.8 billion in 2026, more than double the value of its nearest competitor, according to Veson Nautical. Dynacom contracted 36 tanker newbuildings this year. The second-largest by value is Yangzijiang Maritime Holdings from
China, with 28 newbuilds worth $1.9 billion. Other top Greek companies include Capital Maritime with 11 tankers valued at $1.3 billion, Venergy with 14 tankers worth $991 million, and Stenersen with 12 newbuilds valued at $454 million. Greece leads globally in tanker newbuilding orders by value, with a pipeline exceeding four times that of China. Greek owners also hold the world's most valuable live tanker fleet, valued at $66.38 billion, ahead of China’s $39.6 billion fleet. This data highlights Greece's dominant position in the tanker sector in 2026.
