WUHU SHIPYARD CO LTD has been selected as the preferred builder for a 57,000 DWT conventional tanker ordered by Shandong Ocean (山东海运). The contract was awarded through a negotiation procurement process, with the bid price at 337.8 million yuan. The delivery window is set for the year 2029. Two other candidates, Nantong CIMC Pacific Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. and Chizhou Zhonghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., also qualified but submitted higher bids. The procurement was managed by Shandong Port Sunshine Procurement Service Co., Ltd. on behalf of Shandong Ocean Energy Transportation Co., Ltd. This project reflects ongoing efforts to expand and modernize the regional tanker fleet.
