GTT has received tank design assignments for two 180,000 cubic meter LNG carriers from Samsung Heavy Industries. The order was placed by Samsung Heavy Industries on behalf of Celsius Tankers. Each vessel will be equipped with GTT cryogenic tanks using the Mark III Flex membrane containment system. Delivery of the vessels is expected between the second and third quarters of 2028, establishing a clear delivery timeframe. This order follows a recent GTT contract from Samsung Heavy Industries for the tank design of another new LNG vessel for an Asian shipowner. The collaboration highlights ongoing partnerships in the LNG carrier construction sector.
