On 21 Apr 2026, Grimaldi Group officially named and delivered its new-generation 9,000 CEU Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) Grande Inghilterra at China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) Haimen Base. The 220-meter vessel, the Group’s 11th ammonia-ready PCTC, features 14 decks and can carry electric vehicles, conventional vehicles, and other ro-ro cargo. Equipped with ultra-large lithium batteries, shore power connection, solar panels, an air lubrication system, and an optimized energy-saving design, the ship reduces fuel consumption by approximately 50% compared to the previous generation. This delivery enhances the strategic partnership between Grimaldi Group and CMHI and reflects the Group’s ongoing commitment to building a green and sustainable fleet.
