**Ciner Orders Six Ultramax Bulk Carriers from Chinese Yard** Turkish conglomerate Ciner Shipping has placed an order for six ultramax bulk carriers at New Dayang Shipbuilding in China, extending its newbuilding programme. The vessels, each costing approximately $34 million, are scheduled for phased delivery between the
fourth quarter of 2028 and the third quarter of 2029. The order was made under the leadership of Ciner Shipping CEO Vasileios Papakalodoukas. This latest acquisition adds to Ciner’s extensive fleet expansion, which has seen the company order up to 40 ships over the past four years, with a total investment exceeding $1 billion. Ciner’s continued investment in newbuildings reflects its strategy to strengthen its position in the bulk carrier market. The ultramax bulkers will be constructed at the group’s preferred Chinese yard, supporting ongoing cooperation between Turkish and Chinese shipbuilding sectors.
