Celsius Shipping, a Danish company, has recently placed an order for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier with Samsung Heavy Industries. This is the tenth such order placed by the company with Samsung. The vessel, which is set to be delivered in late 2025 or early 2026, will be chartered by one of the "big players" in the industry and is expected to cost approximately $250 million. This is significantly more expensive than previous orders placed by the company with Samsung, with previous LNG carriers costing $187 million, $193 million, and $196 million. The capacity of the new "Ultra-eco" LNG carrier will be approximately 180,000 cubic meters.
