AD Ports Group has solidified its relationship with Bahrain's Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard Company (ASRY) through a series of strategic agreements. The two companies signed three crucial deals aimed at enhancing shipbuilding, drydocking, and port management capabilities in the Gulf region. One of the agreements focuses on developing a joint venture to improve drydocking and shipbuilding infrastructure within the Gulf Cooperation Council. This venture aims to explore growth opportunities in other international markets as part of its strategic expansion plans. In a separate initiative, AD Ports Group and ASRY have partnered with India's JM Baxi Group to explore the creation of green ship recycling facilities. This partnership aligns with sustainable practices and supports the Hong Kong Convention, following last year's memorandum involving Maersk and others to establish similar initiatives in Bahrain. Lastly, AD Ports Group and ASRY have set up a joint working group to identify investment opportunities in ports and terminals. The goal is to strengthen the region’s maritime infrastructure through coordinated efforts and shared strategic planning. These developments build upon the existing collaboration through ASRY Marine, a joint venture with Noatum Maritime. Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, CEO of AD Ports Group, expressed the importance of these initiatives for sustainable maritime growth.
