Sanfu Shipbuilding Launches New Multi-Purpose Vessel for German Shipowner

Chartering from Sanfu Shipbuilding. Each vessel in this series, including the BBC Bremen, features multi-purpose triple decks with a notable lifting capacity of up to 500 mtons. They are praised for their lower fuel consumption compared to similar-sized vessels. The innovative design includes bridge and crew accommodation at the front and two portside cranes, optimizing the deck space of 2,830 sqm. Notably, the cargo holds are box-shaped with a capacity for nearly 26,000 cbm of cargo spread across a floor space of almost 5,000 sqm. The vessel design focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, with claims of up to 30% reductions per freight ton carried compared to existing tonnage. As part of its diverse capabilities, the main cargo hold can accommodate units up to 104.3m in length and 18.2m in width under deck. Moreover, the hatch covers and tweendecks support loads up to 4.0 mtons per sqm, while the tanktop can manage even larger loads. BBC Chartering operates a fleet of more than 140 multi-purpose heavy-lift vessels, ranging from 4,000 to 40,000 dwt, with capacities up to 800 mt. This addition further solidifies their reputation as a leader in the global shipping industry.
