Peter Döhle Contracts up to Five Boxships at GSI

International (GSI). The newly ordered boxships boast a capacity of 8,400 teu each and will feature LNG dual-fuel engines. The deliveries for these vessels are set between 2027 and 2028, with each ship estimated to cost between $120 million and $125 million. This new order follows a series of contracts placed by Peter Döhle last year at CSSC-affiliated Hudong-Zhonghua. After a hiatus of nearly nine years, the company ordered four newbuilds priced at approximately $150 million each, with a larger capacity of 14,000 teu. These vessels will be scrubber-fitted, methanol-ready, and expected for delivery in 2027.
