SAAM

SAAM (Sociedad Matriz SAAM) is a Chilean multinational company that plays a key role in the maritime sector, with operations across the Americas. Its core business lies in towage services, where it manages one of the largest tug fleets in the region, supporting ships with docking, undocking, offshore assistance, and specialized operations such as salvage. In addition to towage, SAAM provides logistics and air cargo services, including cargo handling, storage, and transport solutions, particularly in Chile, Colombia, and Ecuador. A growing focus of the company is sustainability and innovation: SAAM is actively working to reduce its environmental footprint, investing in low-emission and electric tugboats, measuring and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and implementing a long-term strategy aimed at improving efficiency and reducing CO₂ emissions by 2030. Through this combination of maritime operations, logistics services, and environmental initiatives, SAAM has positioned itself as a major service provider in the regional maritime industry.
