About Naval Dockyard Limited
Premier maritime engineering and ship repair facility operated by the Nigerian Navy. Originated in 1965 when the Federal Government acquired the Elder Dempster Lines Shipyard and transferred it to the Nigerian Navy; officially commissioned in 1969 as the Nigerian Naval Dockyard (NND); incorporated as a limited liability company in 1990. Located at 28 Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos. Facilities include a main graving dock (180m x 24m, 10,000t capacity), twin graving docks (2x 50m x 15m, 250t each), and a 200t slipway.
