Vertom has announced the construction of four 10,700 DWT geared tweendecker vessels at Chowgule and Company’s Shipbuilding Division. These ships, designed for enhanced cargo versatility, will accommodate a mix of dry cargo, breakbulk, and project cargo, catering to a wide range of client needs. Equipped with geared tweendecks, the vessels will be well-suited for diverse transport demands.

The delivery of these vessels is scheduled for 2027 and 2028. Upon completion, they will be deployed on the Europe Caribbean Line (ECL) liner service, operated in collaboration with Vertraco Shipping B.V. This service connects European ports with northern South America, offering efficient and dependable transport solutions for clients in the region. The new vessels are expected to bolster operational efficiency and service reliability for the ECL route.
